Scam Alert: Farm Journal Imposters Surveying Illinois Residents

May 8, 2013 11:14 AM

We would like to alert our loyal Farm Journal audience of a scam in rural America. Two men have been going door to door in the central Illinois town of Gridley asking residents if they would be interested in answering a few survey questions.

To better serve America’s farmers and ranchers, we do survey our readers. However, the surveys are conducted via phone or e-mail or through a questionnaire attached to a magazine. We will never show up unannounced at your house or farm. We take great pride in our 137-year relationship with our readers and would in no way jeopardize that relationship. If you have questions or more information about the scam, please contact Katie Humphreys at (573) 581-9644 or khumphreys@farmjournal.com.

On a more positive note, if you have any story ideas that we should explore in your neck of the woods, please send them too.
