Total unit sales of tractors and combines for October 2013 were roughly 3,000 units above the five-year average, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers says in its monthly flash report.

For the month of October 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were down roughly 2% compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales fell more than 3%, while combine sales dropped close to 35%.
A year-to-date comparison shows total farm tractor sales are up about 10% and combine sales are up roughly 6%.
