Working with the Valley VRI Agronomy Team from Valley Irrigation, farmers can use the new QuickStart (QS) Prescription service from Valley Irrigation to generate a customized variable-rate irrigation plan.

The one-time prescription is built using soil maps, aerial imagery, yield data and other information provided by the farmer. Prescription data provided in conjunction with a new order is preloaded in Valley Select2 and Pro2 control panels, while growers with existing Valley pivots can upgrade their panels and integrate data using the TrackNET and BaseStation2 products.

A copy of the Valley VRI Prescription Software comes with the prescription service, allowing farmers to customize their irrigation prescriptions further in the future.

"We are excited about the addition of QS prescriptions to our product line because it gives growers a turnkey solution for implementing VRI into their operation," says Cole Fredrick, VRI product manager. "It’s a Valley exclusive, and we think it’s going to be very beneficial for the grower."
