In John Deere's second season of skid steer competitions, the newest episode on the
Skid Steer Smackdown Web site is all about visibility.
The competing contractors tested rear-view visibility across five brands of machines. The skid steer was put in reverse, moving closer to a line drawn in the stadium’s dirt. Operators had to stop when they could no longer see the line while looking over their shoulder–stretching and leaning back out of the operator’s seat was not allowed.
