Hot dog!

Rather than spend two fortunes a day, one on lunch and the other on dinner, while in New York my son and I , on a few of our vacation days grabbed a hot dog (and sometimes a pretzel too!) from one of New York’s ubiquitous hot dog vendors. (Man, those guys do a brisk business!) They certainly did the trick and curbed our hunger and gave my credit card a rest as well. Oh sure, it wasn’t the finest dining in Manhattan but it’s certainly better than a poke in the eye.
