I too run any usda employee off the property. these jokers have played with our livings long enough!
The crop tour does no good for the farmer. Clearly the intention is for someone elses advantage. Farmers in general are a stupid lot of people, posting comments on how wonderful the crop looks, fueling the downward spiral in prices. A smart buisness man never plays his hand before the proper time. Letting pro farmer, usda, or any other market person set yeild is a very stupid thing to do. The goverment has no buisness infringing on producers private crop data. All surveys should be returned marked uncertain. If I catch them on my land they better have a legal document giving them rights to the data, but I believe we could hold it up in the courts long enough to get through harvest.
Hi - I am a dairy farmer- to say that the USDA has no business in measuring crop yields, is like saying USDA has no business measuring the milk supply. You have to measure both so you know the supply out there - just how it is.
