Originally developed by Redball but reintroduced for today’s row-crop market, the SX275 self-propelled sprayer is new from Versatile. Powered by a 6.7-liter Cummins engine, the machine boasts 275 hp. For more power to the ground, the SX275 features a MaxTorque two-wheel mechanical drive system and an Allison five-speed automatic transmission. The sprayer has a 1,200-gal. tank and can be outfitted with booms measuring 80', 90', 100' or 120'. The Versatile sprayer features Raven controls and can be outfitted with additional Raven precision ag equipment.

John Deere extends the 2510H Nutrient Applicator

The Spra-Coupe 7655 features improved suspension, additional joystick controls and the ability to extend its axle to a 152" track. The rigid front axle and flex-frame design improve the front suspension and keep all four wheels on the ground regardless of terrain. To improve the rear suspension, the Spra-Coupe 7655 features hydraulic cylinders, instead of springs, that feature precharged accumulators that act like shock absorbers. The cylinders allow for 11" of stroke travel and 7" of vertical travel. Cruise controls and an Auto-Guide resume button are now located on the joystick for fingertip control. Available for the 2009 models of Field-Pro IV pulltype sprayers, Bestway Inc. introduces the Pro-100 FiberWorks 100' spray boom. For long-lasting performance, the FiberWorks boom is built on a steel H-frame and inner wings. The outer wings are constructed from a composite material of fiberglass and thermosetting polyester resin, resulting in a design lighter than steel and with three times the impact resistance. The Pro-100 spray boom is optional on 1,200-gal., 1,600-gal. and 1,850-gal. tank Field-Pro IV models, which are outfitted with V-Ride variable-ride boom suspension as standard. To power over soft ground and hills, Case IH extends its floater line with the new FLX 20 Series floaters. The lineup includes three-wheeled (FLX3020 and FLX3520) and fourwheeled models (FLX4020 and FLX4520), two horsepower ranges and is capable of dry and liquid applications. The drivetrain can be equipped with up to four speed ranges, each with six available gears, to match field conditions and provide efficient power on demand. Designed for durability despite long hours in the field, these models have beefed up frames for extra strength as well as an efficient square-wave radiator and a large fan for superior cooling in the radiator core. With more than 35 updates, including operator comfort, traction and power, Miller-St. Nazianz Inc. released the NITRO N2XP self-propelled sprayer. This mid-sized sprayer is available with an 800-gal. or 1,000-gal. tank. Powered by Cummins 6.7-liter QSB Tier III engines, the sprayer runs at 215 hp, with a power bulge up to 225 hp, and transports at 36 mph. Miller-St. Nazianz Inc. has gone all in by rolling out five new Nitro sprayers. The company announced its intent to sell hay equipment brands Miller Pro,Victor and Badger. The decision to take a wider swath of the sprayer market was guided by changing fundamentals, says Miller vice president John W. Miller. “The 80/20 rule of sprayer sales has totally reversed,” Miller adds. “Instead of 80% of large sprayers being purchased by custom applicators, the past five years has seen a major shift to these machines being purchased mostly by farmers.” As with past Nitro models, Miller’s new 4000 Series machines rely on an adaptable front-mount boom system that allows the operator to face forward during operation.The machines are designed with balanced weight distribution, direct-drive Torq-Trac hydrostatic drives and Poclain wheel motors for constant traction and better hill climbing. Air-ride seats and air suspension add to comfort and control.

Hagie Manufacturing introduces a new 1,400-gal. sprayer and a 120' boom system. The STS14 high-clearance sprayer features a 275-hp, 6.7-liter Cummins engine, which can use up to B20 biodiesel blends. In addition to spray booms, the machine can be outfitted with detasseler attachments or nitrogen applicators. Base price: $225,000. To increase the size of Hagie booms to 120', the boom design received an overall refurbishing. The larger boom features a center boom pivot, height sensor, breakaway protection, protected solution circuit and width versatility to spray either at 90' or 120'. The Apache Series of self-propelled sprayers from Equipment Technologies packs increased horsepower while delivering improved fuel economy. The series features three models outfitted with JCB transmissions and powered by Cummins engines. Models range from 160 hp to 275 hp. The available boom widths include 80', 90' and 100'. Machine crop clearance options are 31", 42" and 48". Hagie Manufacturing Company offers an all-wheel steering (AWS) option on STS10 and STS12 selfpropelled sprayers. The feature reduces the turn radius nearly in half. The five models in the new RoGator series feature increased horsepower and greater capacity with 900-gal., 1,100-gal. and 1,300-gal. liquid systems. A redesigned front entry with fold-down ladder, first step within 14" of the ground, gentle angle of ascent, wide-set handrails and wide walkway provide easier access to the cab. Fast Sprayers offers the model 9600 line of pull-type sprayers. The 9600 can be outfitted with 1,050-gal. or 1,300-gal. tanks and matched with boom widths ranging from 60' to 100'. Sprayers with an 80' or larger boom come equipped with Fast’s compact stealth tank and hydraulic telescoping hitch. A shorter wheelbase design minimizes trailer drifting in the field during side-hill and headland applications. Adopting a new boom system and updated styling, the G Series Condor sprayers from Miller St. Nazianz deliver more productivity. The two models, the G40 and the G75, are powered by Cummins QSB 6.7-liter engines. Since Miller St. Nazianz acquired the technology, the Spray-Air air boom system can be added to the G40 sprayer up to 103' wide and is available in a dual-fan configuration up to 120' wide on the G75. Standard equipment on the G Series sprayers includes cruise control and a remote pump switch. An integrated control panel ground fill station has been developed for the sprayers for simpler operation and a cleaner design. The G Series hood hinges in the front for easy opening and unrestricted access to the engine. The auxiliary light kit has been expanded to include a center section light and two area lamps. With three models, Farm King, a division of Buhler Industries, introduces its series of high-clearance pull-type sprayers. The tube-style boom is available in 60', 80' or 90' boom lengths and boom heights range up to 66". Tank sizes include 850-gal., 1,200-gal. and 1,600-gal. Built with rubber torsion suspension, the boom features shock resistance and accurate nozzle height adjustment. The sprayers are outfitted with Raven 450 variable-rate controllers and Banjo electric boom control ball valves. Options include an eductor and foam marker system. Blu-Jet puts high-capacity fertilizer application on tracks with the AT7000 injection applicator that tiptoes across fields. Outfitted for jet stream coulter or knife injection, the maximum down pressure is 1,200 lb. with 30° swivel and 20" blades. It’s built on a sevensection 7x7 toolbar, which folds to transport width of 16'8" and an overall height of 13'6". Tracks are 14" wide and 73" long. The sump tank has a maximum capacity of 3,000 gal., and the tracks minimize soil compaction with 24 psi. Electronic controls provide up to five section shut-off. The Patriot 3330 is powered by a Case IH 6.7-liter diesel engine. The frame on this model has been reinforced at key stress areas with doubler plates and gussets for additional weight and stress. Diversifying its nutrient application equipment, John Deere introduces the DN345 Drawn Dry Box Spinner Spreader. The struck capacity of the DN345 is 345 cu. ft. for the single-bin configuration, and it can carry up to 17.5 tons (struck) of lime and more than 12 tons (struck) of fertilizer. An optional MultApplier stainless-steel bin can be added to the hopper, which increases struck capacity to more than 400 cu. ft. and load-carrying capacity to more than 14 tons. The spread pattern is up to 60' wide when applying lime and up to 90' wide when applying fertilizer. The applicator features four high-flotation tires, which can be operated at tire pressures of 20 psi. Under full load, the DN345 can operate at speeds up 20 mph in the field. John Deere extends its application equipment offering with the 2510 Series, a full line of nutrient applicators. The 2510H is a high-speed application bar that uses precision-injection technology to apply NH3 at speeds up to 10 mph. The 2510C is a conventional applicator available in 13- or 17-row models. It is designed with a heavy-duty frame. The spring-cushioned nutrient shanks have 1,300 lb. of trip force. John Deere adds to its strip-till bar lineup with the 2510S Medium-Residue Strip-Till. This model is designed for lighter-residue conditions. Both the 2510S Residue Master and 2510S Medium-Residue Strip-Till are available in 12- and 16-row models.
