Here’s what Chevy has to say about its new 2014 Silverado:

Everything, from Silverado’s interior and exterior styling to ergonomics and performance, has been re-engineered. The new Silverado is stronger, smarter and more capable than ever.
Our available EcoTec3 5.3L V-8 engine offers an EPA-estimated 23 mpg highway for 2WD models and 22 mpg highway for 4WD models. That’s better than any V-8 competitor and beats the EPA highway estimates for the Ford F-150 EcoBoost turbocharged V-6. With our EcoTec3 5.3L V-8 engine, you keep the benefits of a larger-displacement engine and get better fuel efficiency. We think of it as "doing more with more."

Silverado’s all-new interior is developed entirely around functionality. Centered around the needs of the driver, we intelligently integrated the smartest technologies into the interior, and the redesigned front seats are built for all-day comfort.

Forward-opening doors provide easy access to a reimagined interior that provides more rear-seat leg room in Crew Cab and Double Cab models. Innovative available MyLink† features keep you and your crew connected to the world.

Innovations in capability extend all the way from the hood to the hitch. Improvements like the boxed front frame, larger axles and available Max Trailering Package (available fall 2013) allow Silverado to offer a class-leading trailering capacity of up to 11,500 pounds.† Electric power steering, coil-over-shock front suspension and new high lateral-rate body mounts provide better ride and handling. Available integrated under-rail LED lamps, a new upper cargo tie-down system and an available innovative CornerStep rear bumper show that we know how you use a truck.
