In my fields I don't believe resistance is a problem. I think we've taken some steps to be proactive and we'll just have to see how else we can change our program. We do a pre-emerge in the corn and if we have tough lambsquarters in the second flush we spike our glyphosate with something to kill those.

This is the first year that even with multiple products and multiple modes of action we're not doing a very good job with control. We're not doing anything to marestail at all other than making it mad.

Waterhemp is the weed that is the scariest for us. We don't have real big problem with resistance in our area yet, I don't think, but waterhemp is a pervasive weed that has a lot of seeds and is hard to keep under control.
We're watching it.

Crittenden County, Arkansas
The biggest thing I¹m facing right now is that 95 percent control is not adequate in any herbicide. If I average 12 pigweeds per square inch and 90 percent of those are resistant, I have 144 per square foot. Kill 95 still have 8 left out there. With the amount of seed you're talking about from one pigweed, that's just not cutting it.
