Dismal Outlook for Feed Prices

Feed costs could be up 70% by next year, economist says


The drought has hit the livestock industry especially hard, with feed costs expected to skyrocket in the coming weeks.

University of Missouri ag economist Scott Brown says that prior to harvest, it's difficult to predict just how high feed prices will go, but that he thinks costs could be up to 70% higher by 2013.
