Drill Improves Seed Performance
At the heart of the redesigned Model 5211 grain drills from Landoll Corporation is an externally fluted seed meter that lets farmers plant a wider range of seed sizes, including improved performance with alfalfa and soybeans. The four models, ranging in width from 10' to 20', are capable of no-till and conventional seeding and available with a standard three-point hitch, optional pull hitch or coulter cart. A gauge and threaded seed shaft adjustment offers a precise seed rate. Features include 15.8" blades on double-disk openers; standard soil-control strips; swivel-type press wheels; a Loup Monitor System including population monitor, bin level sensor and acremeter; and a pneumatic down-pressure spring. Main seed boxes have a "V" bottom for easy cleanout. List price range: $27,475 to $75,935. For more, visit www.landoll.com.

Tools to Manage Heavy Residue
Three products from Sunflower can help farmers improve tillage performance. The 6631 Vertical Tillage Series, replacing the 6630 Series, is built with a heavier frame for soil penetration and levelness, and the front gang is repositioned for better machine balance. The series includes seven models from 20'5" to 37'5" working widths, the exclusive Saber Blade and three finishing attachment options.
The 1436 Disk Harrow is available in working widths from 20'5" to 35'4". It is built with leading weight per ground-engaging blades, a 20° overlapping front disk angle and full concavity blades. Farmers can choose optional blade spacing and three finishing choices.
