A Massey Ferguson with a Cause
Oct 22, 2013
Amber Schneider turn her great-grandfather’s Massey Ferguson 35 into a fundraising mascot.
The tractor had been used in the family’s California vineyard, but since its retirement from farm work it has found a new purpose. Schneider, with the help of two friends, gave the tractor a new paint job and a starring role at the community’s Relay for Life event.
When the event began in Kerman in 2011, the goal was $24,000, but the town raised $60,000. This year, the event raised more than $85,000.
At the event, cancer survivors signed the purple Massey Ferguson tractor. This story was originally featured in Farm Life magazine, click here to read the full article.
