A Vegan Adventure

Jan 13, 2012

I have been dying to share this with you! Starting today, we have two new bloggers, Carrie and David, who will be sharing what it is like to go from a protein loving farm kid diet to a vegan diet. Yes you heard me right, VEGAN! I'm impressed!

Meet Carrie & David

Carrie Carrie is a senior at Cal Poly State University in San Louis Obispo, California. She is studying Agriculture Communications and Animal Science. Growing up in the agriculture industry in Northern California, Carrie developed an obsession for tri-tip. You can see up to the minute updates from Carrie by following herDavid on Twitter....@carrie_isaacson.

David is also a senior at Cal Poly, he's studying Dairy Science and Agriculture Communications. Growing up on a dairy not only developed a love of cows, but he is obsessed with all dairy products. David was even on the dairy products judging contest at one time. Follow updates from Daivid on Twitter....@david_jones.

Carrie and David are the editors of Ag Circle Magazine. Share the joys, disappointments and cravings these two protein loving farm kids, David Jones and Carrie Isaacson, experience as they embark on an adventure to discover firsthand what it is like to be vegan. Follow their blog on AgWeb.com Our Vegan Adventure.

I can't wait to go on this adventure with them.... I'm just glad it's them and not me!

I hope this will be a fair evaluation of alternative diets and not just a exercise to make fun of people who exercise their to eat what they choose. I live in a college town and know many vegetarians. All of them have made that choice for their own reasons what ever they may be, none have ever tried to convert me. In fact we often have dinner out together, they eat what they want and I do the same. Too often those of us in the ag community are quick to lump togeather those in the vegetarian local food movement with the criminals who burn cattle trucks. In a free country don't people have the right eat what they want?
