Tomorrow afternoon I head out on a journey. I will be traveling to Texas by way of Oklahoma for a friend’s wedding. I am excited for all of the farmer friends I get to stop and see along the way. Isn’t that the greatest thing about our industry? Contacts that are made through agriculture are often friends for life. I may not talk to all of my friends every day, month or even year, but I know that if I was in the area and didn’t stop by for at least coffee and they found out, I would get a talking to.

 

I can’t wait to see what the southwest looks like these days. Despite the lack of moisture, I‘ve heard through the grapevine that spring has sprung. I am hoping that this means blue bonnets out in full force, warm front porch coffee mornings, and beautiful spring farm pictures.

 

Road trips mean lots of coffee, beef jerky and my iPod. What is your must have road trip essential?
