Simple Salmon

An easy healthy dinner just right for two.

Simple Salmon
6 - 8 ounce salmon filet
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup Worcestershire
1/3 cup sesame seed
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
Pinch of fresh minced garlic and red pepper flakes
Whisk sauce ingredients together and pour over fish that has been placed in baking dish.  Marinate all day in the refrigerator.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Serve with a side of sauteed fresh vegetables.

 

Easy Chocolate Crinkles

These are very easy and great to make with kids.

Cake Mix Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
1 package Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
1/3 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Heat oven to 375 degrees.  Combine cake mix, oil and eggs until combined.  Using small cookie scoop, drop the balls into the powdered sugar, coating completely before placing 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes until edges are set.  Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

Orange Slices Candy Cookies

If you made Grandma's Cranberry Orange Jam you might be wondering what to do with the rest of the candied orange slices (orange slices candy).  Well here is a unique cookie recipe that will use up the rest of the container.

Orange Slices Candy Cookies
1 c unsalted butter
1 c light brown sugar
1 c white sugar, plus 1 Tablespoon
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
2 c quick cooking oatmeal
1 c coconut
1 c orange slices candy
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cut orange slices candy into small pieces and coat with the 1 Tablespoon of sugar to keep from sticking.  Combine baking soda, baking powder, salt, flour and set aside.  Cream butter and sugars.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Beat until combined.  Add combined dry ingredients, mixing until combined.  Add oatmeal and coconut, mixing until combined.  Stir in orange slices candy.  Drop by teaspoonful and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Easy Monster Cookies

This is a recipe that was sent to me from a client of mine.  Here is what she had to say about this recipe.  These fast and easy cookies are perfect for busy moms. I think these are the perfect treat to have my 2-year-old help me because she can dump and pour the simple ingredients in to the mixer and drop the cookies onto the pan.  She absolutely LOVES to help cook and enjoys playing in the kitchen.
Easy Monster Cookies
1 bag chocolate chip cookie mix
1 bag peanut butter cookie mix
1 1/2 c oats (quick or rolled)
3 eggs
1 stick softened butter
1 c M&Ms
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Form the dough into 1" balls and place on a cookies sheet about 3" apart.  Bake at 375* for 10-12 mins or until slightly browned on top.  Makes 3 dozen 2 inch cookies.
