New Holland H5980 Rake
The New Holland H5980 is a high-speed hay rake that can be operated at speeds up to 15 mph. The high speeds in the field can be attributed to the absence of a center kicker wheel. This heavy-duty wheel rake is built for the rigorous demands of high-speed flatland raking. With eight 60" raking wheels on the left side and nine on the right, the H5980 rakes an area up to 30'3" wide. The offset design turns all the crop, ensuring uniform drydown. A hydraulic adjustment allows the operator to change windrow width from the tractor seat to produce a finished windrow as wide as 72".
Enoagricola Rossi Batrake
Designed for the needs of hay-making season, the Batrake from Enoagricola Rossi is built with a simple yet robust frame. This hay rake provides high clearance for the raked crop to flow through. The independent rake wheel arms have a patented spring system, which allows for the operator to choose the best weight of the rake wheels to the ground without using tools. It features an easy windrow width adjusting system. With an optional kit, the hydraulic cylinders allow the operator to work with one side only and just one hydraulic hose connected to the tractor. The hay rake is also designed for low maintenance.

Chaos Orbis 900 Forage header
The Claas Orbis 900 header stretches forage harvesting to 30'—handling 12 rows of a 30"-row crop with a single pass. A V-shaped crop flow funnels the crop smoothly from the head into the forage harvester. Large drums on the end move the crop to the center and create a windrow effect as the crop enters the harvester, resulting in higher chop quality and fuel efficiency. Drums keep outside rows on each end away from their uncut neighbors, lessening cob loss. The Orbis 900 folds flat for transport. Contact: a Claas dealer; www.claasofamerica.com.

Hiniker AR-2000 Flail Shredder
The Hiniker AR-2000 high-speed flail shredder attacks residue left from high-yielding corn and tougher Bt variety stalks. An increased rotor speed of 2,000 rpm translates to Wear-Tuff hard-surfaced knives operating at top speeds of more than 12,700 ft. per minute. A constant velocity PTO shaft and a 235-hp-rated gearbox transmits power. An over-running clutch protects the driveline, and four groove-banded belts drive each of the rotors from the outer end. With special abrasion-resistant hoods, the AR-2000 has steel with twice the life of standard mild steel. Price: $17,500 for the 18' and $19,170 for the 20'. Contact: Hiniker Company, P.O. AGCO Hesston 7400 Series Baler
The AGCO Hesston 7400 Series large square balers, which includes the 7444 4x4 and the 7434 3x4, are built on Hesston features like the double knotter and single gearbox chain drive with some improvements, such as five instead of four slip clutch disks, sealed bearings and tapered roller bearings. These improvements mean fewer service points and longer time between services. The low-profile, four-bar pickup is standard, and quad augers feed hay smoothly and quickly to packer fingers. The cutter versions of the balers use a single overhead auger and base stub augers to move hay smoothly to the rotor feeding system. The Model 7444 4x4 increased gearbox speeds to 33 strokes per minute, and the Model 7434 3x4 increased to 47 strokes per minute. The improvements to flow and speed have increased capacity for the new models by 30% and 10%, respectively. Price: 7434 3x4, $98,214 to $127,409 and 7444 4x4, $111,281 to 127,609.Visit www.agcoiron.com.

Vermeer Super M 605 Baler
Vermeer Corporation is credited with being an innovator in developing the large round baler. In keeping with the tradition, the company recently launched the 605 and 604 Super M Series Balers. Designed for custom balers and high-volume producers, these machines accelerate the bale-starting process and improve hay pickup and feed performance. The Super M Series has a dual-stage belt-tightening system for a smoother, more trouble-free start in the balestarting chamber. The bale chamber then expands as the bale is formed. The wide heavy-duty Direct Crop Feed pickup system eliminates stuffers and rotors and features a reinforced five-bar pickup and self-cleaning double augers in front and on each side of the lower bottom drum roller. The 605 Super M must be coupled with an 80-hp or larger tractor; the 604 Super M requires at least 70 hp.
