For example, if you’re somatic cell goal is 200,000 cells/ml but your herd is currently at 350,000 SCC, the dashboard calculates a monthly milk loss of $3,681 at $15/cwt. Annual loss would be $44,000.
If you’re able to reduce your herd’s SCC to 250,000, monthly losses drop to $1,468 and annual losses to $17,625.
The dashboard allows you to adjust SCC levels, herd production, milk price and bonus quality levels.
