4/1/2013 ALERT: Nitrogen Pricing Favorable in Kansas and Missouri -- Farm Diesel and K Priced to Move

April 1, 2013
By: Davis Michaelsen, Pro Farmer Inputs Monitor Editor

In this week's Monitor Index, Kansas and Missouri posted some declines that are worth noting. In Missouri, the price of a ton of UAN32 fell $12.00 to $405.00, potash fell $7.00 to $560.00/ton -- that's 20 dollars per ton cheaper than the regionwide average -- and farm diesel fell nearly a dime to a cornbelt low of $3.34/gallon.

Check your local pricing in Missouri. There may be some bargains to be had, especially if you plan a late season sidedress of 32% solution, or need to top off farm diesel.

Kansas anhydrous is also very favorable this week at $810.00/ton -- a decline of $8.00 week-on-week in the Monitor Index -- $72.00/ton below the regionwide average price/ton.

(Pricing based on Inputs Monitor Data collected week ended March 29, 2013. Check with your local supplier -- prices may vary.)
