National gasoline prices fell across the board during the week but are still above year-over levels, and highway diesel offers a mixed bag.
Gasoline-
Average national retail price for regular gasoline fell 0.043 to 3.394 per gallon. East Coast gasoline down 0.028 to 3.457; Midwest declined 0.067 to 3.320;Gulf Coast 0.015 lower 3.158 marking the cheapest gasoline in the nation.
Rocky Mountain gasoline 0.068 lower to 3.405 and the West Coast posts a 0.053 decline to 3.615.
Highway Diesel --
National average price for highway diesel 0.007 lower nationwide, ending the report week at 4.027, 0.096 over year-ago.
East Coast registered the only upticks during the report week -- up 0.004 to 4.096 -- East Coast PADD1A adds 0.018, PADD1C up just 0.004.
Beyond that, all other regions posted declines. Midwest highway diesel 0.009 lower to $4.014; Gulf Coast boasts the lowest price for diesel at 3.901, falling a scant 0.001. Rocky Mountain 0.068 to 3.989; West Coast 0.018 lower to 4.097.

With the switch to winter refining all wrapped up, production is running smoothly on a secure domestic crude supply. Prices should continue to moderate until the holiday driving season increases demand.
