National gasoline prices fell in all regions except one, and California put downward pressure on West Coast highway diesel.

Gasoline-

Average national retail price for regular gasoline was down again over the report week. Lower week-over by 0.043 to $3.339/gallon -- 0.013 higher than the same time last year.

East Coast gasoline managed a decline -- 0.042 lower to $3.491; Gulf Coast 0.066 lower to $3.205; Rocky Mountain gasoline lower 0.052 to $3.559; West Coast down 0.116 to $3.783.

California retail gasoline dove to the lowside shucking 0.138 -- the largest decline during the week to $3.858.

Highway Diesel-

National average price for highway diesel down 0.030 to $3.980/gallon. Regionally a mixed bag posting week-over gains in four of the ten reporting zones. Year-over prices mixed as well.

Gains in highway diesel come as no surprise on the East coast where a gallon rose 0.003 to $4.037, falling at New England's PADD1A, but higher farther south along the coast -- PADD1B adds 0.010 to $4.165 -- PADD1C higher 0.002 to $3.912.

Elsewhere, prices fell slightly. Midwest highway diesel 0.051 lower to $3.908; Gulf coast 0.045 lower to $3.875; Rocky Mountain diesel 0.056 lower to $4.104.

California actually pulled West Coast prices down. West Coast PADD5 lower 0.022 to $4.131 but West Coast diesel with California omitted was higher 0.030 to $4.098.

California still ramping down from a price explosion last month -- lower week-over by this report's largest margin of 0.065 to $4.160.
