Residential heating oil prices moved higher during the report week. The average residential heating oil price climbed 0.049 cents to $4.063 per gallon -- 0.091 cents per gallon higher than the same time last year. Wholesale heating oil prices also increased -- 0.115 cents per gallon higher to $3.311 per gallon, 0.102 cents per gallon above last year at this time.

Distillate stocks fell by 1.0 million barrels (mmbbl) to 139.6 million barrels -- still 17.0 million barrels below year-ago levels. Production added 0.209 million barrels to end the report week at 4.472 mmbbl -- 0.017 mmbbl below year-ago.

The average residential propane price increased by 0.003 cents last week to $2.477 per gallon -- 0.382 cents per gallon lower than the same period last year. Wholesale propane prices increased 0.013 cents to $0.992 per gallon -- 0.207 cents per gallon lower than year-earlier.

Propane stocks fell by 2.564 million barrels to register a week-week decline to 54.869 mmbbl -- that's still 8.192 mmbbl above year-ago and remains well above the five-year average, pacing a seasonal drawdown.
