4WD Tractor Sales Down 17% in July 2013, Data Show

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has released its monthly sales report for the U.S. (for the full report, click here)

Total unit sales are about 2,000 units above the five-year average.

For the month of July 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were up nearly 19% compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales fell nearly 18% to 411 units, while combine sales rose by 2%.

A year-to-date comparison shows total farm tractor sales are up nearly 13% and combine sales are up nearly 36%.
