Farm Family of The Week: R&B Farms

March 28, 2011

The Farm Family of the Week is the LeDuc family of Pleasant Grove, California.

For four generations, R&B Farms has been located in Northern California. Currently they grow CalRose medium grain rice. Their crop not only feeds America, but fuels a 300 mph nitro Funny Car.

Brian Thiel, a rice farmer, is a professional NHRA Nitro Funny Car driver and an advocate for agriculture education and bridging the gap between consumers and food production. Sponsored by  N&S Tractor, Case IH and National FFA, the car competes in the NHRA Full Throttle Series and is a spotlight for agriculture in the motorsports industry.

We would like to recognize the LeDuc Family and R & B farms for their commitment to safe food production, their dedication to advocating for agriculture in nontraditional capacities.
