Irrigation Device Enables Wireless Pivot Control

October 18, 2012
By: Nate Birt, Farm Journal Social Media and News Editor

A new irrigation device allows farmers to wirelessly control pivot direction, manage water and more. T-L Irrigation Co. developed the technology, called Precision Link, in conjunction with AgSense.

Precision Link uses the AgSense WagNet web site as the user interface to provide web-based remote pivot management. Precision Link interacts with T-L's Precision Point III control panel to provide online pivot access via cellphones, tablets and computers.

Other functions controlled by the technologies working in tandem include end-gun angles, auxiliary application areas and the ability to stop or reverse movement.

South Dakota-based AgSense specializes in remote-access technology that lets farmers track weather conditions, keep tabs on grain storage and gauge soil moisture.
