Relaunched $100 Ideas contest can put cash in your pocket and win you a trip to Miller Welding University
What could be better than cold hard cash? How about a cash prize coupled with the chance to win a trip to the 2012 Miller Welding University?
This unique opportunity is yours if you enter and win Farm Journal’s $100 Ideas contest. For two decades, Farm Journal has been putting cash in the pockets of farmers who submit their ace ideas, ranging from shop solutions to simple fixes on machinery, and are then selected to win $100 or $200 if chosen as the Double Your Money winner. All winning entrants receive their check upon publication along with a $100 Ideas hat.
Just ask Gary Hendrix of Jamestown, Ind. His grain dryer bypass was selected as this issue’s Double Your Money winner. He says he installed the bypass to save money on grain drying—and he also ended up making money by sending in a photo and description of his invention to the contest.
Hendrix, along with every other $100 Ideas winner from 2011, will be entered for a chance to attend the 2012 Miller Welding University. See the sidebar below for more details.
All $100 Ideas submissions must be original to the entrant, not commercially sold or distributed, and previously unpublished. To submit your idea, which must include a description and photo, e-mail $100-Ideas@farmjournal.com or mail it to $100 Ideas, Farm Journal, P.O. Box 1188, Johnston, IA 50131-9421. You can also go to www.farmjournal.com/enter_100_ideas for an online entry form.
