USDA Website Returns

If you’re a farmer looking for information about a recent summer camp in Utah, you’re in luck: The USDA blog is once again accessible now that the government shutdown is over.

But if you’re seeking to track down some numbers – say commodity data from the National Agricultural Statistics Service – you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Attempting to access pages such as "NASS Publications" and "Quick Stats" early Thursday still returned a message about the site’s unavailability because of the earlier lapse in funding.

USDA’s reply: Bear with us.

"President Obama has signed into law a continuing resolution that has ended the recent lapse in government funding," a message posted to the top of USDA’s website states. "Please allow some time as we work to bring USDA websites back to normal operations."
