As the crow flies...

Yes, I admit it. It’s true. I don’t like to stop and ask for directions. “Big surprise!” you say seeing as how I am a stereotypical male member of the species. But seriously, on my last trip to Wisconsin I got lost, made wrong turns and screwed up so many times that I probably doubled the amount of miles I put on the rental car. (Good thing I had unlimited mileage!) Even though I had printed out all the directions before I left home so I “knew” exactly where I was going I still couldn’t help but messing up almost every time I got behind the wheel. So on my trip to Oregon next week, in addition to bringing the printed out directions, (old habits die hard), I will also be using my new GPS unit. I have tested it out a couple of times already and it seems do an admirable job of getting me from point A to point B. But I am not going to get too cocky about it. Sure, I may now have modern technology on my side but it’s still too early to say I won’t get lost. If I do might end up having to eat crow.
