Let's shake on it
May 23, 2010
Just had a terrific time doing two Rubes cartoony show events for the readers of the Modesto Bee and the Sacramento Bee newspapers. As always, it’s a blast sharing laughs with so many great folks. (See:
Comic strip creator Leigh Rubin brings his humor to Modesto ) As much as I like getting out on the road I don’t think my dog appreciates me being gone and not taking him for his usual two long walks a day. We have been walking rain or shine for several years and he has come to expect it. He will sit and stare at me at the appropriate times of day until I get the message that “It’s time!” (I wish there was a way for me to explain to him that when I’m away it’s usually for business and it helps puts kibble on the table...) I have met and become friends with many of my neighbors on these walks and my dog has made many friends too. Naturally we have different ways of greeting our friends. Both methods work equally well depending of course which species you are. Personally I prefer the “human” greeting of saying “Hi” or shaking hands as opposed to the canine method...if you get my drift.

The perfect gift for Dads grads or that special wild and twisted person in your life! It’s Leigh’s new Best of Rubes® collection, “The Wild and Twisted World of Rubes.” Available now at your favorite neighborhood or online bookstore!

The Rubes Cartoony Show comes to Palmdale, Calif. on June 5! For details, see: www.rubescartoons.com/events.html
