It’s a rare happenstance when the calendar year and a tractor model match. And in 2010 it does!
We found three John Deere Model 2010 tractors in the marvelous, world-class Walter & Bruce Keller collection in Wisconsin. The 2010 Diesel Crawler was owned by Washington State University. The 2010 LP wide-front row-crop (center), with an extremely rare John Deere Model 52 stacker, came from California. The 2010 Hi-Crop (gas), one of only 133 built, was shipped to San Francisco. The Keller Collection is know for its rare unusual and seldom-seen classics.
In August 1960–50 years ago–Deere & Co. introduced its New Generation of Power. In one of the best-kept secrets in American history, the introduction featured a new series of tractors with four- and six-cylinder engines and much, much more. The 10 Series ushered in John Deere’s New Generation of Tractors, and that changed everything. The 4010 become the top seller and flagship of the 10 Series.
