What's Happening with the AgWeb Discussion Boards?

February 22, 2013 11:24 AM

Several readers have recently inquired as to what is going on with the AgWeb Discussion Boards. Namely, there has been an influx of spam on the forums, and the boards have been periodically inaccessible.

Last week, our forums came under a heavy attack by spammers. In order to stop the attack, our technical team had to shut the forums down temporarily. Since then, our team has been working non-stop to ban these spammers and get things under control.

Unfortunately, spam is an all-too-common occurence on the Internet and can be difficult to block. We value our readers and the feedback and inquiries we have received. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this spam attack has caused, and we thank you for your patience as we work to find a permanent solution to this problem.

If you have any questions about this issue, please e-mail editors@agweb.com. Thank you.
