Ram Salutes Farmers with Unveiling of Farm-Focused Truck

During the Farm Progress Show last month in Decatur, Ill., Machinery Pete got to see Ram’s new farmer-focused Harvest Edition truck.

The company polled farmers and asked them what specific features they were looking for in a farm truck. One of the features is satellite weather data.

“A farmer can be driving along using the steering wheel audio controls to voice text and then pull up the weather radar on his 8 x 4 in the middle of his truck and get all the information he wants in the front seat of his Ram,” said Jim Morrison, head of Ram Brand, North America.

Morrison said the Harvest Edition is a way to recognize the contributions farmers and ranchers and salute them with a “hardworking Ram truck.”

Because of Ram’s corporate affiliation, the trucks come in two colors: Case Red and New Holland Blue.

Yeah, and right after you check the weather as you drive down main street, you wipe out a row of cars at the stop light.
