Betsy Jibben, National Reporter

Betsy Jibben moved to Indiana after living in southeastern South Dakota. She has roots in The Mount Rushmore State, growing up on the farm her great-grandfather bought.  On the farm, she grew up riding horses, taking care of animals and helping with chores on the farm. She was involved in 4H, Horse 4H and spent her summers at the county fair.

She graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from South Dakota State University. Go Jacks! It’s a degree she knew she wanted after her experience on the high school debate team.

Before she joined Ag Day, she worked at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There she started off as a sports reporter and videographer while she was in college before moving on to news. Farm stories soon became her favorite topics to cover.

Betsy’s favorite part of her job is telling stories. Everyone has a story, you just have to find it!
