Disc mowers are not new to the market -- farmers have used them for years. However, Krone recently introduced two new options for farmers and ranchers: the ActiveMow R and EasyCut R 3-point hitch mowers.

“These new disc mowers combine the durability and reliability of our trusted line of current disc mowers, while adding new enhancements that our customers have asked for,” says Jody McRee, Krone sales operation manager. “Building on the reputation of our trusted AM and EasyCut mowers as being ‘bullet proof machines,’ these new models are just as reliable, while raising the bar for improved productive cutting in the field.”

There are several new features on these models, including quick change blades, which can be changed with one tool. McRee says the no-inner-shoe design reduces drag, so the new mowers pull more easily and leave a more uniform swath behind. According to McRee, the direct drive system delivers reliable power to the SmartCut cutterbar without using belts, which he say is a favorite feature of farmers.

With the addition of these new implements, Krone offers farmers a tool on their website to determine which mower is the best fit for their operation. Visit for more information.
