2014 Jersey All-Americans to be Crowned Nov. 8-10 in Louisville

More than $45,000 offered for three Jersey shows in three days at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

The finest Registered Jerseys™ in the world will take center stage when The 62nd All American Jersey Show & Sale returns Nov. 8-10 to the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky.

Premiums totaling $46,875 will be offered for three shows. Last year’s All American assembled nearly 600 Registered Jerseys under one roof, making it the largest single-site exhibition of Jerseys in the United States and the world for 2013.

The All American Junior Jersey Show is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8. Justin Burdette, of Mercersburg, Pa., will judge with Chad Ryan, of Fond du Lac, Wis., serving as his consultant. This is one of the richest junior shows in the world with $9,625 in premiums offered for 2014, plus an additional $5,000 in exhibitor support provided by the American Jersey Cattle Association.

The 61st National Jersey Jug Futurity on Sunday, Nov. 9 will award premiums of $11,315, with 49 3-year-old cows entered this year. It will be judged by Mike Berry, of Albany, Ore. His consultant will be Frank Robinson, of Lodi, Calif.

The open division of The All American Jersey Show is set to take place on Nov. 10 and will be judged by Michael Heath, of Westminster, Md. His consultant will be Jamie Black, of Constable, N.Y.

The first- and second-place entries in each class of all shows will be named the All American and Reserve All American winners for 2014 by the American Jersey Cattle Association. The shows will be streamed live from Freedom Hall via webcast at www.livestockexpo.org.

Two sales, both managed by Jersey Marketing Service of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, are scheduled.

The 62nd All American Jersey Sale is the premier showcase for Registered Jersey™ genetics in the United States. Fifty lots are cataloged, including two high-ranking genomic young sires, to sell the evening of Sunday, Nov. 9.

The 57th Pot O’Gold Sale on Saturday, Nov. 8, features 35 genomic-evaluated heifers that can only be purchased by youth between seven and 20 years of age. Presenting Sponsor of the sale is Cow’s Match® Jersey Blend from Land O’Lakes Animal Milk Products Co.

Both sales will be broadcast live with online bidding at Jersey Auction Live

All events will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center, conveniently located near the Louisville airport. The schedule is:
