2016 Midwest Crop Tour: Mixed Bag in Indiana

August 23, 2016 12:29 PM

AgWeb’s Ben Potter reports from Carroll County, Ind.

The eastern leg of the Midwest Pro Farmer Crop Tour is seeing some variability in Indiana. Corn was weaker closer to the Ohio border but yields seem to be improving as the scouts move across the state.

Soybean samples aren’t so great, though. The crops look good from the road but scouts aren’t seeing many pods per plant.
