There are a slew of regulations now in California with the start of the new year. Regulations which will impact farmers and how many hours and how much pay farm workers will receive in the state.

  Pretty soon they won't even be able to hire and pay Mexicans. More reasons to increase advancement in robotics to take over harvesting of produce. I think anyone that thinks they will see people out there harvesting that lettuce in a decade or two is working those rose colored glasses real hard.
