Advanced Auger Options

November 24, 2008 10:56 AM

To improve auger handling and positioning, Buhler Farm King introduces three features to pair with its auger lineup. The first is an auger mover for gas-drive conventional augers. The mover is controlled by a handlebar system near the front of the auger; two hydraulic motors mounted to the inside of the wheels drive the auger. The gas engine that runs the auger also powers the system. The second feature is a hydraulic winch for Backsaver Augers. This eliminates the need to manually winch a swing-away hopper into position for transport. The winch uses a set of tractor hydraulic outlets and is operated by a lever mounted at the end of the main auger tube. Third is a hydraulic hopper mover for swing-away hoppers. Hydraulic motors attached to two wheels on the hopper are operated from a lever on the auger tube.
