Ag Connect Expo Receives International Trade Status and Support of Canadian Wheat Growers

March 30, 2009 08:54 AM

The Ag Connect Expo has been selected to the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program (IBP). Also in support of the event, the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association (WCWGA) will collocate its 40th annual convention. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is organizing the Ag Connect, which will occur on January 13-15 in Orlando, Fl.

Within IBP, the Department's U.S. Commercial Service recruits international attendees to the show and encourages at-show connections with exhibitors who sell to the global marketplace. They recruit "matchmaking" services for buyer-seller relationships between international clients.

WCWGA is a voluntary farm organization focusing on creating a policy environment that improves the profitability and sustainability of farming and the agricultural industry as a whole. WCWGA's membership consists of progressive farmers and entrepreneurs and is governed by a voluntary board of directors, all of whom are farmers.
