HEADLINES
WELL THE BEEF HERD IS CONTINUING TO EXPAND  AND SOME ANALYST FEEL THAT COULD CREATE SOME HARVEST CAPACITY  ISSUES OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS WE'LL HAVE THE STORY FROM  NASHVILLE TENNESSEE. IN AGRIBUSINESS...IS A BUMP IN WHEAT PRICES  POSSIBLE? WE'VE BEEN STUCK IN A SIDEWAYS RANGE FOR DANG NEAR SIX  MONTHS NOW. MACHINERY PETE LOOKS AT PRICE TRENDS FOR SELF PROPELLED  SPRAYERS. AND RESEARCHERS FIND A NEW LINK TO INCREASED COLON CANCER RISK. AGDAY-BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE DEPENDABLE, LONG LASTING CHEVY  SILVERADO.

CHALLENGES CATTLE INDUSTRY FACES
GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. THE CATTLE INDUSTRY CONVENTION HAS WRAPPED UP ANOTHER YEAR  SHARPENING ITS FOCUS ON 2017. MARKET ANALYSIS FIRM, CATTLE-FAX RELEASING IT'S OUTLOOK FOR THE YEAR  AHEAD. IT EXPECTS OVERALL COMMODITY MARKETS WILL STABILIZE....AND VOLATILITY IS  LIKELY TO BE LESS. MARGINS FOR COW CALF PRODUCERS WILL LIKELY BE REDUCED AS PRICES  SOFTEN...AMID A GROWING HERD. NATIONAL REPORTER BETSY JIBBEN JOINS US FROM NASHVILLE WITH NEW  CHALLENGES THE INDUSTRY FACES AS MORE CATTLE COME TO MARKET. CLINTON. THE CATTLE INVENTORY REPORT IS SHOWING THE BEEF HERD IS  CONTINUING TO GROW BUT SOME ANALYSTS BELIEVE THE EXPANSION COULD  CREATE PACKING SPACE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD. "THE THING ABOUT THAT  IS IT IS A CONCERN AND AS YOU LOOK BACK AT 2016, ESPECIALLY THE END OF  THE YEAR, THERE WAS SOME TIMES THERE WHERE IT WAS A CHALLENGE. THE  WAY WE LOOK AT PACKING CAPACITY TODAY THEY WILL NEED TO HARVEST MORE  CATTLE IN 2017 BECAUSE WE HAVE FORECAST TO SEE AN ADDITIONAL 450- THOUSAND FED CATTLE. TO ACCOMPLISH THAT WE THINK THEY CAN GAIN SOME  EFFICIENCIES WITH THE CURRENTLY KILL CAPACITY. WE THINK THEY CAN KILL AN  EXTRA 1500-2000 HEAD A DAY AS WE MOVE THRU 2017 BY BECOMING MORE  EFFICIENT. RECOGNIZING LABOR IS AN ISSUE. THEN ON TOP OF THAT THE WAY  YOU CAN COMPENSATE, YOU CAN GET LARGER KILLS IS TO KILL MORE  SATURDAYS. IT'S A CONCERN AS WE MOVE FORWARD FROM A CYCLE STANDPOINT FOR THE NEXT 3-4 YEARS." CLINTON, HERD SIZE IS ONE ISSUE BUT PRICE AND  VOLAILITY IS OTHERS., AND THAT'S BEEN A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION OVER THE PAST  COUPLE OF YEARS. JUST RECENTLY SOME PRODUCERS JOINED FORCES TO CREATE WHAT THEY HOPE WILL BE A TRUER CASH PRICE FOR FED CATTLE. THE DAYS OF RECORD HIGH CATTLE PRICES SEEN FROM 2013 TO 2015 ARE NOW  MORE LIKE MEMORIES TO PRODUCRES.. BUT THE IMPACTS OF THE VOLATILITY STILL STING.  "I THINK PEOPLE ARE A LITTLE MORE OPTIMISTIC BUT I HTINK WE'RE ALSO CAUTIOUS BECUASE WE GOT  BURNT SO BAD WITH THE PRICE DROP,"DURING THAT TIME, A GROUP OF PRODUCERS WITH THE HELP OF SUPERIOR  LIVESTOCK AUCTION DECIDED TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE PROBLEM BY  ESTABLISHING A REALISTIC BASE PRICE FOR THE MARKET. THEIR IDEA... THE FED  CATTLE EXCHANGE.  "WITH ADDITIONAL NEGOTIATED TRADE ON A TRANSPARENT PLATFORM LIKE FED CATTLE EXCHANGE, WE CAN  HELP ELIMINATE SOME OF THE VOLITALITY THAT WE'RE SEEING IN OUR MARKET BOTH ON THE CASH SIDE  AND FUTURES SIDE TO ALLOW US TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE PRODUCERS AND MORE EFFECTIVE RISK  MANAGERS,"IT'S AN ONLINE AUCTION- SIMILIAR TO AN E-BAY FOR CATTLE. FOR ONE-DOLLAR  PER HEAD, PRODUCERS CAN SET A FLOOR PRICE AND ARE NOT FORCED TO SELL  IF THE PRICE IS NOT MET. BIDS COME FROM PACKERS IN 25 CENT INCREMENTS.  "THE NEAT THING ABOUT THE PLATFORM IS THAT YOU CAN DO IT ONLINE OR FROM YOUR MOBILE DEVICE.  SO, IF HTE FEEDYARD MANAGER IS THERE, HE CAN TAKE 3 PHOTOS, FILL IN THE REVELENT INFORMAITON AS IT RELATES TO THE LIVESTOCK, POST IT ON THE WEBSITE BEFORE 12 ON MONDAY FOR A SALE THAT WILL  COMMENSE ON 10 AM ON WEDNESDAYS,"THE TRANSACTIONS TAKE PLACE ON A COMPUTER SCREEN, IN REAL TIME.  SOMETHING THAT WASN'T POSSIBLE EVEN A FEW YEARS AGO.  "IT'S ABOUT KNOWING WHERE THE CASH MARKET IS AT ALL TIMES AND THAT YOU CAN HELP YOU MAKE A  LOT OF DECISIONS ON YOUR OWN NO MATTER WHAT PART OF THE INDUSTRY YOU'RE IN," THE FED CATTLE EXCHANGE REALLY TOOK OFF WHEN USDA INCLUDED SALE RESULTS IN THE LIVESTOCK MANDATORY REPORTING PROGRAM IN OCTOBER.  ****NOW THE AVERAGE SALE VOLUME IS ROUGHLY 65-HUNDRED TO 7 THOUSAND  HEAD EACH AUCTION. MULTIPLE STATES ARE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING SO ARE THE MAJOR PACKERS  AND SOME REGIONAL ONES ARE TOO. PACKERS CAN VISIT THE CATTLE  BEFOREHAND SINCE PRODUCERS MAY POST SEVERAL DAYS AHEAD OF THE  AUCTION. "THE SMALLER GUYS BENEFIT AS WELL. THERE ARE GUYS IN THE NORTH LIKE IN SOUTH DAKOTA THAT ARE  FARMER-FEEDERS THAT HAVE REALLY GOOD CATTLE. A LOT CAN BE HOMERAISED. CATTLE THAT ARE AS HIGH QUALITY AS ANY IN THE COUNTRY. THESE GUYS BENEFIT FROM THE BUYER EXPOSURE THEY WOULDN'T  NORMALLY GET.""THAT'S WHAT THE FCE IS TRYING TO DO - DEFINE THE VALUE FOR DIFFERENT CLASSES OF CATTLE IN  DIFFERENT REGIONS DURING DIFFERENT MARKETING FUNDAMENTALS."EVEN THOUGH THE FED CATTEL EXCHANGE IS ONLY A FRACTION OF THE U.S. CATTLE VOLUME- BOTH BELIEVE IT'S CREATED A MORE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. "I BELIEVE IT'S MADE A TREMENDOUS IMPACT ON THE AMOUNT OF VOLITALITY IN THE MARKETS, AS FAR  AS CREATING MORE DATA POINTS FOR THE INDUSTRY TO TRADE THEIR CATTLE OFF OF,""YOU CAN TELL A LOT OF TRADERS FROM CHICAGO WATCH THIS,""AS FAR AS THE MARKET TRANSPARENCY GOES, THIS IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. IF WE CAN  CONTINUE TO MOVE IT FORWARD, WE WILL HAVE A LOT OF POTENTIAL THERE FOR THE MARKET GUYS AND  PRODUCER GUYS. THE HEDGERS, THE ENDUSERS, ANYONE INVOLVED IN THE MARKET,"VANDYKE WATCHES THE EXCHANGE FROM HIS OFFICE IN CHICAGO. HE BELIEVES  IT'S A GOOD START TO IMPROVING THE CATTLE MARKET.  "IF YOU PULL UP THE AUCTION, PULL UP THE FUTURES AT THE SAME TIME, THERE'S NO DOUBT IN MY MIND  IT'S WATCHING. YOU CAN SEE THE FUTURES REACTION AS PRICE CHANGES,"PRODUCERS HOPE FOR MORE OF THAT TRANSPARENCY... "BEFORE IT WAS ALMOST A PHONE CALL OR WORD OF MOUTH ASKING, 'WHAT DID YOU GET FOR CATTLE?'  'WHAT WERE YOU BEING OFFERED?' NOW IT'S RIGHT OUT THERE AND EVERYONE CAN SEE IT."> TO ERASE THE WILD SWINGS IN THE CATTLE TRADE. REPORTING FOR AGDAY, I'M BETSY JIBBEN.  THANKS BETSY.

SUPREME COURT NOMINEE MAKING ROUNDS
CONVERSATION AT THE CONVENTION IS NOT ONLY CENTERED AROUND MARKETS,  TRADE AND GOVERNMENT REGULATION.  THIS YEAR SOME ATTENDEES ARE  DISCUSSING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S NOMINEE FOR THE SUPREME COURT. FOLLOWING TUESDAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE WHITE HOUSE, NEIL GORSUCH IS MAKING THE ROUNDS ON CAPITOL HILL, MEETING WITH SENATE LEADERS.   HE'LL FACE THOSE LAWMAKERS WHEN THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE  CONVENES. THAT DATE IS NOT YET SET. GORSUCH IS AN OUTDOORSMAN, WHO ENJOYS FLY-FISHING IN THE STREAMS OF  COLORADO.  COINCIDENTALLY, WATERS OF THE U-S COULD BE ONE OF THE FIRST ISSUES  GORSUCH WOULD ADDRESS, IF HE IS CONFIRMED BY THE SENATE. "THE FACT THAT HE DOES COME FROM WESTERN UNITED STATES I THINK BODES  WELL BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOOK AT WESTERN U.S. ESPECIALLY THE IMPACT OF  RULES AND REGULATIONS ON OUR MEMBERS WHO RUN ON PERMITS ON  FEDERAL LANDS, HAVING SOMEBODY WHO UNDERSTANDS THAT WILL ALSO BE  HELPFUL."THE SUPREME COURT HAS AGREED TO DECIDE WHETHER JURISDICTION IN LAWSUITS FILED OVER WOTUS LIES WITH FEDERAL DISTRICT COURTS OR  APPELLATE COURTS.   THE HEARING IS CURRENTLY SCHEDULED FOR APRIL.

CROP COMMENTS
CALIFORNIA IS NOT COMPLETELY DROUGHT-FREE, BUT IT'S GETTING A LOT  CLOSER AFTER A MONTH OF SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS. MIKE HOFFMAN HAS DETAILS IN CROP COMMENTS. GOOD MORNING CLINTON.  THE RECENT DROUGHT MONITOR SHOWS 70-PERCENT OF THE STATE IS NOW  DROUGHT-FREE. THERE ARE STILL REGIONS THAT ARE CONSIDERED IN  MODERATE DROUGHT, INCLUDING THE CENTRAL VALLEY. THE LATEST SNOW SURVEY MEASUREMENT NEAR LAKE TAHOE IN THE SIERRA  NEVADA MOUNTAINS PUTS THE WATER EQUIVALENT AT 28 INCHES.  THE LONG  TERM AVERAGE IS ELEVEN  INCHES.  AT THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY AT THIS  SPOT - IT WAS JUST SIX INCHES. CALIFORNIA GETS A THIRD OF ITS WATER FROM SNOW RUNOFF. STATE OFFICIALS ARE NOW CONSIDERING WHETHER TO LIFT AN EMERGENCY DROUGHT DECLARATION.AND TAKING A LOOK AT THE DROUGHT MONITOR YOU CAN SEE THE  SMALL PART OF CALIFORNIA STILL IN A MODERATE OR WORSE DROUGHT THERE  ARE POCKETS THROUGH THE SOUTHERN PLAINS SOUTHEAST AND NORTHEAST  AS WELL ALL OF THOSE THOGUH HAVE BEEN SHRINKING OVER THE PAST MONTH  WE'LL TALK MORE ABOUT YOUR FORECAST COMING UP BUT FIRST HERE ARE  SOME HOMETOWN TEMPS.AGDAY - BROUGHT TO YOU BY RESICORE HERBICIDE FOR CORN.  WITH A UNIQUELY POWERFUL  FORMULATION OF PROVEN INGREDIENTS, RESICORE GIVES YOU EXTRAORDINARY POWER OVER WEEDS.  LEARN MORE AT POWEROVERWEEDS.COM.

WHEN WE COME BACK, WE'LL LOOK AT WHEAT MARKETS AND FRESH POTENTIAL  FOR HIGHER PRICES.TAY TUNED FOLKS COMING UP WE'RE GOING TO TALK SELF PROPELLED SPRAYERS AND SOME STRONGER PRICES OF SEEING LATELY. 1 IN 6 COLON CANCER PATIENTS DIAGNOSED BEFORE AGE 50 HAS A GENETIC  CONDITION PASSED DOWN THROUGH FAMILIES. . AGRIBUSINESS
JIM MCCORMICK WITH ALLENDALE OUR GUEST HERE AT AGRIBUSINESS TODAY.  JIM LET 'S TALK ABOUT THE WHEAT MARKET. IT HAS BEEN A TOUGH A TOUGH  MARKET HERE THE LAST YEAR OR SO IS THERE ANYTHING CHANGING. WELL  YEAH THE MARKETS DEFINITELY BEEN TOUGH. WE'VE BEEN STUCK IN A  SIDEWAYS RANGE FOR DANG NEAR SIX MONTHS NOW. BUT A COUPLE THINGS  ARE CHANGING. THE FIRST ONE IS INTERNATIONALLY, WE'RE STARTING TO SEE  THE CRISIS PICK UP AGAIN IN UKRAINE AND WHAT WE NEED WATCH OUT ABOUT, A  COUPLE YEARS AGO, WHEN THE FIRST CRISIS ARRIVED IN THE UKRAINE THE  WHEAT MARKET GOT CAUGHT FLAT FOOTED. THE FUNDS WERE SHORT ON A  WHOLE LOT OF CONTRACTS, SOMETHING LIKE 75-THOUSAND CONTRACTS A  WEEK. WHEN THAT CONFLICT EXPLODED WITH RUSSIA BEING A BIG EXPORTER OF  WHEAT, THE UKRAINE BEING ONE OF THE BREAD BASKET OF EUROPE, THE  RALLIED A DOLLAR FIFTY. NOW HERE WE ARE GOING IN THE SPRINGTIME JUST  LIKE YOU WERE A FEW YEARS BACK, INTERESTING ENOUGH THE FUNDS ARE  SHORT ABOUT SEVENTY - SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND CONTRACTS. SO THE  QUESTION IS IF THIS CONFLICT GETS OUT OF HAND YOU COULD GET THE MARKET  EXCITED AND YOU COULD SEE THOSE WHEAT SPECULATORS GET KNOCKED OUT  A MARKET AND RUN THIS MARKET AND GIVE OUR WHEAT PRODUCERS A DECENT  OPPORTUNITY TO SELL SOME WHEAT. THE OTHER THING WORKING THE WHEAT'S  FAVOR, NEAR TERM, IS THAT A DOLLAR 'S BEEN WORKING WEAKER THE LAST FEW  MONTHS. AND OF COURSE THE WHEAT IS MORE DRIVEN BY THE DOLLAR THAN  ANY OF THE COMMODITIES WE HAVE BECAUSE WE COMPETE PRETTY MUCH  EVERYONE IN THE WORLD FOR WHEAT EXPORTS SO THE WEAKER THE DOLLAR  GETS, THE BETTER OFF WHEAT MARKET IS. AND THAT'S ALSO KINDA BRINGING  WHEAT UP TO THE NEAR TERM HIGHS. SO WE'RE KIND OF CLIMBING A LITTLE BIT,  GETTING NEAR THAT NEAR TERM HIGH. WHAT ABOUT THE ACREAGE IS THAT  PLAYING INTO THIS AT ALL YET? I THINK IT DID PLAY A LITTLE BIT EFFECT. I MEAN  WE'RE SEEING THE WINTER WHEAT ACRES WERE DOWN AND I THINK THEY GOT  THE MARKET A LITTLE BIT EXCITED AND THAT SHIFTING AWAY TO OTHER  COMMODITIES. BUT THE FACT IS WE HAVE SUCH A BURDENSOME SUPPLY COMING  IN. STOCKS USEAGE FIFTY PERCENT LOSING A FEW MILLION ACRES ISN'T GOING  TO BE ENOUGH. THE WEATHER COULD BE THE TIPPING POINT. IF WE COME INTO  THIS OUT OF THE INTO THE WINTER TIME IN THE SPRING AND WE'RE DRY YOU  GET A WEATHER STORY ON TOP OF THE CONFLICT WITH WE COULD FINALLY GET  THE WHEAT MARKET A LITTLE BIT EXCITING FOR US. ALL RIGHT SO  I HAVE A  FRIEND THAT ALWAYS USED TO SAY WE NEED A DISASTER BUT WE NEEDED  SOMEWHERE ELSE SO THAT 'S WHAT YOU KNOW SOMETHING TO SPARK THIS  WHEAT RALLY WOULD BE GREAT. GREAT. SOMETHING TO GET THE FUNDS OUT OF  THIS ENTRENCHED SHORT THEY'VE BEEN IN FOR A VERY LONG TIME WOULD  HELP. ALRIGHT THANKS A LOT APPRECIATE IT JIM FOR BEING HERE. WE'LL BE  BACK WITH MORE AGDAY IN JUST IN A MINUTE. WEATHER
AGDAY WEATHER - BROUGHT TO YOU BY ILEVO SEED TREATMENT FROM BAYER.  WELCOME BACK TO AGDAY ON THIS MONDAY MORNING. MIKE HOFFMAN JOINS US  LOOKING AT RAINFALL OVER THE LAST WEEK. AND MIKE NOT MUCH THERE. I PULLED THIS GRAPHIC UP TODAY AND I HAD TO DOUBLE CHECK IT ONLINE AT  ANOTHER SITE, JUST TO MAKE SURE. THAT'S CORRECT SITUATION JUST NOT  A  LOT OF MOISTURE LAST WEEK ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. OBVIOUSLY THERE  ARE POCKETS OF MOISTURE IN FLORIDAA FEW SPOTS AROUND THE GREAT  LAKES NORTHERN PLAINS AND OUT WEST ESPECIALLY AND THAT 'S WHERE  WE'RE GOING TO START SEE A FAIR AMOUNT ONCE AGAIN AS WE HEAD INTO THIS  COMING WEEK BUT MOST OF THE COUNTRY SAW LITTLE IF ANY IN THE WAY OF  RAIN OR SNOW THIS PAST WEEK ACROSS THE LOWER FORTY EIGHT. PRETTY  AMAZING WHEN YOU LOOK AT THAT. HERE'S THE JET STREAM AS WE HEAD INTO  THIS WEEK WE SEE A A BIG STORM SYSTEM OFF THE WEST COAST. THAT 'S GOING  TO COME IN. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WEAKENS ON THE JET STREAM THERE..THEN IT  DIGS INTO THE NORTHEASTERN PLAINS GREAT LAKES AND EVENTUALLY THE  NORTHEAST. A TON OF GULF MOISTURE AHEAD OF IT. SO THERE'LL BE A LOT OF RAIN AND SNOW WITH THAT SYSTEM THERE IS WEDNESDAY THIS MEANS IT WARMS UP ALONG THE WEST COAST. ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM NO LURKING OFF SHORE WELL A WEEK IN A LITTLE BIT BUT IT 'S STILL GONNA BRING IN A FAIR AMOUNT OF MOISTURE AS WE HEAD INTO THE END OF THE WEEK WITH THE  EASTERN SYSTEM CONTINUING TO PLOW EASTWARD. THEN IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE  GONNA TRY TO WARM UP BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENS. OUR MODEL SHOWS THE  TROUGH TRIES TO REDEVELOP BACK IN THE GREAT LAKES AND THE NORTHEAST  AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. AND THIS  COULD BE AN INTERESTING SITUATION IF WE DO END UP WITH A CUT OFF THERE  IN NORTHERN MEXICO BECAUSE THAT'S KIND OF A STABLE PATTERN THAT COULD  CONTINUE TO ALLOW COLD AIR TO COME INTO THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE  COUNTRY. THERE'S THE WEEK TEMPERATURES AS I'M LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW  BELOW NORMAL FOR THE NORTHEAST MOST OF THE GREAT LAKES FAR  NORTHERN PLAINS ON NORTHWARD FROM THERE. YOU'RE GOING TO START  WARM FOR A DAY OR TWO LET 'S TAKE THE GREAT LAKES AND OHIO VALLEY AND  THEN YOU'RE GONNA SEE FALLING TEMPS AFTER THAT. SO I THINK IT'LL AVERAGE  AT NEAR NORMAL IN THE OHIO VALLEY TENNESSEE VALLEY EVEN THOUGH YOU'LL  TURN COLDER LATER IN THE WEEK ABOVE NORMAL FOR SOUTH FLORIDAAND  THEN FROM LOUISIANA UP TO SOUTHWESTERN MONTANAACROSS OREGON.  SOUTHWARD I AM GOING ABOVE NORMAL IN THOSE AREAS FOUR TEMPS THIS  COMING WEEK. AS FAR AS PRECIPITATION THIS COMING WEEK A BIG STORM  SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL PUT DOWN A LOT IN THE WEST,  CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE ROCKIES THEN REDEVELOP WITH GULF MOISTURE  NEAR EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTRY, MAINLY EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AS YOU CAN SEE THERE BELOW NORMAL THOUGH FROM KANSAS TO  TEXAS. INTO MUCH OF MEXICO. OUR THIRTY DAY OUTLOOK FOR TEMPERATURES  I'M GOING BELOW NORMAL FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE PLAINS THE GREAT  LAKES AND CANADA. MAINLY ABOVE NORMAL THEN FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THE SOUTH TEXAS AND MUCH OF FLORIDA. AS FAR AS THIRTY DAY OUTLOOK FOR  PRECIPITATION ABOVE NORMAL OHIO VALLEY GREAT LAKES AND THE NORTHEAST  AS WELL IS THE NORTHWEST WITH A BELOW NORMAL CONDITIONS FROM KANSAS TO TEXAS INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THAT 'S A LOOK ACROSS THE COUNTRY  NOW LET 'S TAKE A LOOK AT SOME LOCAL FORECASTS. FIRST OF ALL RIFLE  COLORADO MOSTLY CLOUDY A SNOW SHOWER POSSIBLE HIGH OF FORTY TWO  DEGREES. RHINELANDER WISCONSIN MOSTLY CLOUDY BIT OF SNOW OR  FLURRIES WITH A HIGH OF TWENTY SIX. AND FINALLY WE'LL HEAD TO FLORENCE SOUTH CAROLINA LOTS OF SUNSHINE AND MILDER HIGH AROUND SEVENTY.

HEY FOLKS REPORTING FROM THE FIELD THIS WEEK OUT IN MINDEN NEBRASKA HERE WITH THE GOOD FOLKS AT LANDMARK EQUIPMENT HANGING OUT THE LAST  COUPLE DAYS TALKING WITH GUYS IT 'S REALLY INTERESTING THEY WERE  MENTIONING SPRAYERS USED SELF PROPELLED SPRAYERS BEEN PRETTY HOT  OUT HERE THE LAST PART OF TWENTY SIXTEEN IN FACT THE LARGE ONE LARGE  MODELS THEY SELL A JOHN DEERE FORTY NINE FORTY KIND OF NEED MORE OF  THEM NOW I FOUND THIS REALLY INTERESTING BECAUSE I'VE BEEN SAYING  SOMETHING SIMILAR ON THE AUCTION MARKET AND OF TWENTY SIXTEEN NOW  HERE 'S A LOOK THIS IS FROM OUR MACHINERY PETE USED VALUE INDEX  QUARTERLY REPORT AND YOU CAN SEE HERE ON SELF PROPELLED SPRAYERS  THIS IS BASED ON AUCTION PRICING YOU CAN SEE FROM SECOND QUARTER  TWENTY THIRTEEN THROUGH SECOND QUARTER TWENTY FIFTEEN USED VALUES  WERE FALLING BUT SINCE THEN KIND OF HOLDING AND THEN EVEN INCHING UP A  LITTLE BIT AND OF TWENTY SIXTEEN NOW HERE 'S A COUPLE OF EXAMPLES ON A  RECENT SPRAYERS THAT I'VE SEEN AND BEEN PRETTY STRONG HERE 'S A  PICTURE OF THE TWENTY FIFTEEN HAGIE STS TWELVE I HAD JUST OVER THREE  HUNDRED HOURS ON A HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOOT BOOM TWELVE HUNDRED  GALLON SOLD FOR TWO HUNDRED FORTY FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED  BUCKS ON A BIG IRON DOT COM ONLINE AUCTION DECEMBER TWENTY EIGHTH  AND THIS THING CAME FROM CENTRAL INDIANA NOW MORE RECENTLY JANUARY TWENTY FIFTH AGAIN A BIG IRON DOT COM ONLINE AUCTION OUT OF CENTRAL  OKLAHOMA TWENTY FOURTEEN JOHN DEERE FORTY NINE FORTY JUST OVER  THREE HUNDRED HOURS SOLD FOR TWO HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS  THOSE ARE TWO VERY STRONG AUCTION PRICES ON A HARD CASH BASIS SO IT WILL BE REALLY INTERESTING TO SEE HERE WITH USED SPRAYERS IF THE  STRONGER PRICE TRENDS CONTINUE THROUGH THE SPRING.

STILL TO COME, UNCOVERING THE RISK OF COLON CANCER IN CERTAIN FAMILIES.   WHAT RESEARCHERS HAVE FOUND AND WHY YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER  BEING TESTED, NEXT ON AGDAY.

IN THE COUNTRY
IN THE COUNTRY - SPONSORED BY KUBOTA.  DISCOVER THE POWER BEHIND THE M6 SERIES AT  KUBOTA.COM. EACH DAY, 400 MORE AMERICANS WILL BE DIAGNOSED WITH COLORECTAL CANCER, IT IS THE SECOND LEADING CAUSE OF CANCER THAT AFFECTS BOTH  MEN AND WOMEN. CATCHING IT EARLY IS THE KEY TO TREATING IT  SUCCESSFULLY, AND RESEARCHERS SAY THERE IS ONE GROUP WHO MAY BE AT A  HIGHER RISK THAN FIRST THOUGHT. CLARK POWELL HAS DETAILS IN THIS  REPORT PROVIDED BY THE OHIO STATE CANCER CENTER. NANCY ROSEN HAS A FAMILY HISTORY OF COLON CANCER, SO IT WASN'T A  SURPRISE WHEN SHE WAS DIAGNOSED AT AGE FIFTY-FOUR.  WHAT SHE DIDN'T  KNOW WAS THAT HER HIGH RISK WAS CAUSED BY LYNCH SYNDROME, A CONDITION THAT PREVENTS HER BODY FROM PROPERLY REPAIRING DAMAGED D- N-A. "KNOWING I HAVE LYNCH SYNDROME ALLOWS ME TO ACT PROACTIVELY TO  HOPEFULLY PREVENT GETTING ANOTHER RECURRENCE OF CANCER." NANCY  BECAME AWARE OF HER LYNCH SYNDROME THANKS TO A NOVEL SCREENING  PROGRAM AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER - JAMES CANCER HOSPITAL AND SOLOVE RESEARCH INSTITUTE. WHERE  RESEARCHERS LED AN EFFORT TO CONDUCT TUMOR SCREENINGS ON MORE  THAN 3-THOUSAND PATIENTS DIAGNOSED WITH COLON CANCER. "FROM THAT, WE  HAVE ACTUALLY OFFERED GENETIC TESTING TO ABOUT 370 AT-RISK RELATIVES,  AND ANOTHER 120 HAVE TESTED POSITIVE, SO YOU CAN SEE WHERE IT  BALLOONS ONCE YOU GET TO THE FAMILY MEMBERS." HEATHER HAMPEL LEADS  THE PROJECT. IN A NEWLY PUBLISHED REPORT, SHE LOOKED AT A SUBSET OF PATIENTS IN OHIO DIAGNOSED SINCE 2013 ANDUNDER THE AGE OF 50.  IN  FINDINGS LARGER THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT, HER TEAM FOUND 1 IN 6 OF  THOSE PATIENTS HAVE GENETIC FLAWS THAT RAISE THE RISK OF CANCER IN  OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. INCLUDING NANCY'S SON MICHAEL, WHO PLANS TO  USE THAT KNOWLEDGE TO STAY HEALTHY. "I'M GRATEFUL THAT I KNOW NOW.  BEFORE I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A COLONOSCOPY. I WOULD HAVE NO IDEA  I'M AT GREATER RISK." "IT'S CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO FIND OUT YOUNG SO THAT  YOU CAN START THOSE SCREENINGS AT THE RIGHT AGE AND DO THEM AT THE  RIGHT FREQUENCY AND WE CAN PREVENT THESE INDIVIDUALS FROM GETTING  CANCER IN THE FIRST PLACE." AT OHIO STATE'S COMPREHENSIVE CANCER  CENTER, THIS IS CLARK POWELL REPORTING. EXPERTS SAY MORE THAN 95 PERCENT OF THOSE WITH LYNCH SYNDROME ARE  UNAWARE THAT THEY HAVE IT. THEY'RE HOPING THE EFFORTS IN THE OHIO  COLORECTAL CANCER PREVENTION INITIATIVE CAN BE APPLIED NATIONALLY TO  HELP THOUSANDS MORE.

CLOSE
THAT'S ALL THE TIME WE HAVE THIS MORNING. WE'RE GLAD YOU TUNED IN.  FOR MIKE HOFFMAN, BETSY JIBBEN AND ALL OF US AT AGDAY, I'M CLINTON  GRIFFITHS. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
