CHINA STOCK CRASH:
GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. A STOCK MARKET CRASH IN CHINA MAY HAVE LINGER AFFECTS ON COMMODITIES HERE AT HOME...AND THAT'S OUR TOP STORY ON AGDAY.
USMEF SHIPMENTS:
THE U.S. MEAT EXPORT FEDERATION ALSO RELEASING NEW TRADE DATA ON BEEF AND PORK FOR MAY. IT SAYS JANUARY THROUGH MAY SHIPMENTS OF BEEF ARE OFF 10 PERCENT COMPARED TO 2014. PORK EXPORTS ARE DOWN 6 PERCENT IN VOLUME AND 15 PERCENT IN VALUE. ONE BRIGHT SPOT IN MAY WAS BEEF SHIPPED TO SOUTH KOREA, WHILE NEGATIVES INCLUDE LOWER PORK VOLUMES TO JAPAN, MEXICO AND CHINA.
TPP MEETING:
SPEAKING OF TRADE, THE OFFICE OF THE U.S. TRADE REPRESENTATIVE, MICHAEL FROMAN, OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING NEW TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP TALKS IN HAWAII. THE MEET SET FOR LATE JULY.  USTR OFFICIALS ARE STEERING CLEAR OF CALLING IT THE FINAL MEETING....BUT IT COULD HELP WRAP UP MORE THAN FIVE YEARS OF NEGOTIATIONS.
AVIAN FLU HEARING:
NEW ESTIMATES FROM THE AG DEPARTMENT SHOW U-S EGG AND POULTRY PRODUCERS COULD LOSE THREE BILLION DOLLARS IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE REVENUE IF THE U-S STARTS USING VACCINES TO COMBAT AVIAN INFLUENZA. THAT ESTIMATE FROM USDA'S CHIEF VETERINARIAN WHO TESTIFIED BEFORE THE SENATE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE ON THE GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO THE OUTBREAK.
TEASE:
NEXT, WE'LL CONTINUE OUR COVERAGE OF THE AVIAN FLU OUTBREAK. WE'LL BE LOOKING AT THE POULTRY MARKET IN TODAY'S ANALYSIS. LATER, BLACK AND RED ANGUS STEP ASIDE - THERE'S A NEW COLOR IN THE CORRAL.

ANALYSIS INTRO:
BEFORE THE BREAK, BETSY TOLD US ABOUT WASHINGTON DISCUSSIONS REGARDING THE AVIAN FLU OUTBREAK. SO HOW IS THE MARKET DOING--NOW THAT CASES ARE SLOWING DOWN. FOR ANSWERS WE TURN TO TYNE MORGAN AND THIS MORNING'S ANALYSIS.
BTR STEAKHOUSE FIZZLE:
HIGH BEEF PRICES AREN'T HELPING THE NATION'S STEAKHOUSES. SO FAR DEMAND AT THESE HIGH END RESTAURANTS REMAINS STAGNANT.
BTR CANADA CATTLE:
AND THE U.S. BEEF INDUSTRY WON'T GET PRICE PRESSURE FROM CANADA. PARTS OF THE COUNTRY DEALING WITH DROUGHT AND HAY SHORTAGES…CANADIAN RANCHERS NOW WITH FEWER THAN 12 MILLION CATTLE--THE LOWEST NUMBER IN MORE THAN TWO DECADES…SLAUGHTER HOUSES THERE NOW RUNNING AT A 7 YEAR LOW. PARTS OF WESTERN SASKATCHEWAN AND EASTERN ALBERTA GETTING LESS THAN 40 PERCENT THEIR NORMAL RAINFALL OVER THE PAST 3 MONTHS HAY PRICES ARE UP BY A THIRD.
BTR WHITE ANGUS:
AND CHECK THIS OUT...RESEARCHERS IN FLORIDA SAY THEY'VE DEVELOPED A NEW BREED--THE ONA WHITE ANGUS. SIMILAR TO HOW RED ANGUS CAME ABOUT--THESE CATTLE ARE WHITE HAIRED WITH DARK SKIN. THE CATTLE WERE DEVELOPED OVER TWENTY YEARS THROUGH CROSS-BREEDING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA RANGE CATTLE RESEARCH CENTER. RESEARCHERS SAY GENETICALLY THEY'RE ANGUS, BUT THE WHITE COAT SHOULD BENEFIT RANCHERS IN TROPICAL AND SUBTROPICAL REGIONS. THE UF ONA WHITE ANGUS HERD WILL BE SOLD THROUGH A PUBLIC AUCTION LATER THIS YEAR.
ITC ICE CREAM FLIGHTS:
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF CHEESE FLIGHTS, OR BEER FLIGHTS, BUT HOW ABOUT ICE CREAM FLIGHTS? IN THIS SEGMENT PROVIDED BY THE WISCONSIN MILK MARKETING BOARD WE SEE HOW TWO ICE CREAM SHOPS IN THE DAIRY STATE ARE OFFERING CONSUMERS A CHANCE TO TRY MORE THAN ONE FLAVOR.
CLOSE:
BOTH SHOP OWNERS AGREE THAT THE NEXT BIGGEST TREND IN ICE CREAM MAY BE PAIRING UNIQUE FLAVORS TOGETHER FOR A COMPLETELY NEW TASTE EXPERIENCE. THAT'S ALL THE TIME WE HAVE THIS MORNING. WE'RE GLAD YOU TUNED IN.
