The U.S. Drought Monitor shows drought growth in the Southwest. It’s something AgDay Meteorologist Mike Hoffman is looking at too.
“The four corners region continues to be very dry and in parts of Texas,” said Hoffman.
Hoffman says Texas drought has improved over the past four weeks but there are still some areas of severe and extreme drought in the West Central and in South Texas.
“If you go back four weeks, you can see there was a lot more reds and oranges there in the Southeast and Texas,” said Hoffman. “[That even includes] parts of the Ohio River Valley where those have gone away.”
