AgReliant Genetics is launching Advantage Acre, a precision agriculture platform, for the 2016 season. The web-based app will include technology that brings together seed, soil and weather analytics.
“The Advantage Acre platform was designed to maximize the genetic potential of our seed and provide an innovative use-interface for our customers,” says Bryan Brochin, AgReliant Genetics vice president of marketing and business development.
Advantage Acre will include functional soil mapping and weather forecasting to help farmers stay ahead of the game, strategize seed and other field decisions and analyze year-end results. Pricing will depend on what features growers want to access, but some parts will be free.
The platform combines AgReliant’s seed expertise, soil mapping from Agsoil Analytics, a Purdue-affiliated company, and weather forecasting from Weathertrends 360, a weather analytics corporation.
The company partnered with Spensa Technologies in 2014 to develop the precision platform and the initial launch will be in beta until July. After beta the group will offer a larger suite of technology following the initial launch. Sign up, pricing and other information can be found on their website,
