Agriculture Wasn't Always Easy For Australian Women

Women have always played an important role in agriculture, both in the U.S. and across the world.

Nearly half of all farmers in Australia are women, but they haven’t always been recognized for their role.

It wasn’t until 1994 when the Australian census first recognized women as farmers, and now these women can boast that official title on their résumé.

Sally Jones explains the struggle she and her mother have faced being involved in Australian agriculture on AgDay above.
