AgriTalk After The Bell: "Buy Commodities; Sell Equities"

April 4, 2018 04:21 PM

“Let it shake out.” That was the bottom line from Todd “Bubba” Horowitz on Wednesday’s AgriTalk After the Bell with Chip Flory. After soybeans closed sharply lower, but well off session lows, in the aftermath of China’s vow to retaliate against U.S. tariffs with its own tariffs on U.S. soybean imports, Bubba stuck to his plan: “Buy commodities… sell equities.”

Robert Lowery, Nebraska branch manager for The PRICE Futures Group, told Flory on ATB the increased volatility in the grain markets since the March 29 USDA is proof growers must have a plan that will give them the confidence to move forward with cash corn and soybean sales when opportunities are available… even if available for just a short period of time.
