April 11, 2018 11:07 AM

It’s a Farmer Forum! AgriTalk Host Chip Flory checks in with farmers from California, Iowa, and Indiana today. To start the show the farmers cover trade and Immigration issues. Joe Del Bosque out in California is on the front line the US immigration battle and gives his thoughts on how it effects labor. In the next segment they talk a bit more about trade and NAFTA. Randy Francois in Iowa has a sizeable hog operation and has dealt directly with hog market prices after news from China. The end things up Chip asks if the odd spring weather has changed plans for planting in the Midwest, Don Lamb of Indiana says it’s too early to tell but they are ready to make changes if they need it. Let’s also not forget that while there is still snow in the Midwest, Joe is already harvesting asparagus in California.
