Former head coach of the Green Bay Packers, Vince Lombardi once said, “People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.” This year the Alltech Wisconsin Dairy School urges the dairy industry to take the same approach and strategize together on a winning offensive play at “One Team, One Dream.”
A day dedicated to farmers, nutritionists and industry professionals to learn from experts on the latest innovations, practical concepts, marketing trends and management tools used in today’s dairy industry, the 12th annual Alltech Wisconsin Dairy School will be held Thursday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
A pre-conference breakfast will commence the event from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. Kevin Wulf, Riverview Dairy, will present “There is no I in team!” followed by Charlie Crave, Crave Brothers Dairy, with “Prospectives for the next generation team.”
The main conference will follow at 10 a.m. and will feature several current dairy industry topics:
- “Risk management is a major part of every team,” Joe Kerns, Kerns and Associates
- “How to build your own financial dream team,” Sam Miller, BMO Harris
- “Forage management: What expertise do you have on your team?” Dr. Alexandra Weaver, Alltech Mycotoxin Management team
- “Putting together your management team, makes the dream work!” Jim Ostrom, Milk Source Agricultural Holding
This year’s featured guest speaker will be former Green Bay Packer William Henderson, who played 12 seasons for the National Football League team. The fullback, often called “Old Reliable” for his consistent play, was selected as Green Bay's 2001 “Unsung Hero,” in recognition of his efforts both on the field and in the community. Henderson will present, “The respect of teamwork.”
