Boy Scouts Sell Milk with Girl Scout Cookies

March 11, 2016 11:10 AM

Milk and Girl Scout cookies have been a tasty combination for nearly a century, but people typically had to wait until getting home to enjoy them together. But thanks to Boy Scouts, some lucky consumers will be able to enjoy their Thin Mints with a glass of milk right away.

According to Adweek, the California Milk Processor Board's "Got Milk?" campaign worked with Goodby Silverstein & Partners to find Boy Scout troops to hand out milk at Girl Scout cookie-selling booths.

Both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts earned badges and raised funds for their troops by participating in "The Scouts Milk Mission."

“We were excited to make 'The Scouts Milk Mission' happen quickly because it's kind of ridiculous that we haven't been doing this for the last 100 years,” says Kate Catalinac, Goodby Silverstein & Partners and currently serving as creative director for the promotion. “Who can have cookies without milk? Savages, that's who.”
