Expanding its lineup of application toolbars, Case IH introduces new working widths to the Nutri-Placer 930 and Nutri-Tiller 950 toolbars.
The Nutri-Placer 930 provides consistent anhydrous ammonia placement in the root zone and comes in working widths of 27.5’, 32.5’, 37.5’, 42.5’ and 47.5’. In addition to the 60’ and 65’ models introduced in 2010, a new 50’ version has been added.
The Nutri-Tiller 950 is a strip-till toolbar available with optional NH3 fertilizer capability. The Nutri-Tiller 950 comes in 20’, 30’, 40’ or 60’ working widths.
The Nutri-Placer 930 offers 15”, 20” or 30” row spacing, while the Nutri-Tiller 950 offers 30” row spacing.
Models less than 40’ are single fold, while models over 40’ are double-fold.
Both the Nutri-Placer 930 and Nutri-Tiller 950 application toolbars have a heavy-duty welded frame with welded cross-members between the forward and rear tube add strength and durability. Three rows of thick tubing that run the entire toolbar’s width support the toolbar’s strong ground-engaging components at field speeds up to seven mph. Double-gusseted joints, top and bottom, are found throughout the design. Strengthened running gear allows the applicator to handle operating speeds of up to seven miles per hour.
A beefed-up front hitch adds strength to support the mainframe and rear hitch. A strong deluxe rear hitch with a straight through design for easy hook-up has poly skid plates for reduced friction and operator fatigue. The rear hitch also swings and can be extended to more easily facilitate hitching to a tank. A clevis hitch complements the tough frame for trouble-free hook-up.
Several different shank options are available for the 930: rigid shanks, heavy duty spring shanks, coulter/shank combination for narrow rows or the popular High Clearance Shank (HCS). New to the 930 and the 950 is the redesigned HCS. Originally introduced on the Nutri-Placer 940 in 2010, the HCS shank is designed for soils with rocks and other obstructions, but it also works well in rock-free soil.
Stubble resistant (FI) tires are available on both the Nutri-Placer 930 and Nutri-Tiller 950.
