CFTC Okays Early Start to Pit Trade on Report Days

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has given CME Group permission to start open-outcry (pit) trade for grain and oilseed futures and options at 7:20 a.m. CT on days of USDA grain reports. The change will take effect Tuesday when USDA releases its June Supply & Demand and Crop Production Reports.

Effective June 25, CME Group will expand open-outcry trading hours for grain and soy futures 2 p.m. CT, pending CFTC approval.
