Clearing the Air: NC Residents Fight Smithfield Subsidiary

A series of federal trials are scheduled to begin next month in Raleigh, North Carolina after a series of complaints about emissions from hog operations.

Those eventual decisions could alter the operations of the state’s $2.3 billion industry.

This week, attorneys from both sides filed motions regarding specific pieces of evidence and testimony.
